Classic is dedicated to providing a satisfying home building experience.
So when you work with us, we'll take your ideas and questions seriously, respond quickly and personally to your concerns, and provide guidance (on everything from site selection and securing building permits, to window placement and best uses of floor space) throughout the process.
We know that designing and building a home can be a confusing process.
To get you started, here's an outline of the steps involved.
Keep in mind that the schedule will change as your ideas and priorities do.
Pre-Conference: This is when we define the scope of work and when it might start.
Often, we'll ask you to submit a sketch or concept so we can assess it for feasibility and cost.
This may be done in person or over the phone. This is also when your Classic representative will
discuss materials costs for the project and overall construction costs in order to determine
budget. This allows Classic's designers to approach the project with your needs and budget in mind.
Design & Ordering: We offer two different options for designing and ordering your home.
After working closely with you to capture your ideas, we'll offer a detailed, computer-generated concept plan. The sketch includes four computer-generated elevations of the home and floor plans. A firm price quote comes with the sketch.
Next we ask for a 10% earnest money deposit, which is also credited toward the package price. This deposit secures a preliminary set of plans and a foundation plan to assist with excavation and building permit applications.
After placing your order, we ask for a 15% deposit on the materials package, which is due 10 weeks prior to the scheduled delivery. This second deposit secures a full set of engineered plans, a timely production slot and a firm delivery date for the materials.
This option gives you priority over the sketch design process.
When you put down a 10% deposit on the estimated materials package, we'll create a computer-generated concept plan based on your ideas and goals.
We'll also provide a schedule for drafting services, reserve a slot for you in our production schedule, and a set a firm delivery time frame.
- An additional 15% deposit is due 10 weeks prior to delivery.
